A 50 year old woman was murdered in a home invasion robbery on the De Vierde Liefde estate, Wolseley, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. She has been identified as Renee Jain.

The attack happened on Friday night 26 March at about 23:00.

Jane was the daughter of Cathy Bruyns and the late Andre (Bakkies) Rossouw, a former editor of Sarie magazine. A spokesperson for the Police has confirmed that Jain was murdered in her home.

He also confirmed that a second home invasion took place at the same time in another house on the estate where more people were tied up and robbed.

Three black male attackers fled from the scene but no arrests have been carried out.
