Relentless efforts by members of the Delft SAPS Crime Prevention Unit to keep our communities safe landed a 32-year-old suspect behind bars when he was arrested for the possession of two unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Roosendal, Delft on 28 October 2021.

The members stopped an Uber vehicle when the driver indicated that there is a suspicious person in the vehicle.

The suspect jumped out and tried to run but was apprehended by the police members. His bag was searched and two 9mm pistols with ammunition were found in the bag.

The suspect will make a court appearance on Tuesday, 2 November 2021 to face the charges against him.
