In their endeavours to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community, police members attached to the Grassy Park Crime Prevention Unit followed up on information received that counterfeit money was being manufactured at a residence in Parkwood.
On 25 May 2018, at about 18:00 members searched the premises and found equipment used to manufacture counterfeit money, like copy machines, an FNB swipe machine, toners and laptops.
Counterfeit R200, R100 and R50 notes found at the scene were handed in at Grassy Park SAPS. Two suspects, aged 28 and 30, from Parkwood, were arrested on charges related to the manufacturing of counterfeit goods.
