Counterfeit goods worth over R1 mill confiscated, Mitchells Plain

In an integrated effort to address the lucrative counterfeit goods market, Mitchells Plain police, in conjunction with two brand holders conducted an operation at a clothing store in Town Centre Mitchells Plain early this morning, 28 November 2018.

This operation resulted in the seizure of counterfeit clothing with an estimated value of R 1103775-00. The 25 year old shopkeeper is under investigation for selling counterfeit goods.

Businesses dealing in fake and counterfeit apparel and goods can expect a visit by SAPS as part of our clampdown on all aspects of crime during this festive period.
