A public tip led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Sea Point on Monday, 15 December 2025.
A community member alerted Sea Point SAPS officers patrolling Beach Road about a suspicious transaction and identified the suspect to them. The police recognized the 48-year-old man from previous investigations.
Upon searching him, officers found 21 bankies of tik, one full mandrax tablet, 16 half mandrax tablets, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs and is scheduled to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court.
