Money unlawfully spent on Patricia de Lille’s security upgrade will be written off. The amount is a mere R140 000. There were apparently too many role players involved and no single person could be identified as the offender.

Meanwhile, a damning report of more than 2,000 pages has been published about irregular acts by De Lille, Brett Herron and Melissa Whitehead (currently suspended).

Political analysts say the actions of the DA controlled city council show that there is no difference regarding the corruption that the ANC has already been found guilty of.
