Crime Prevention Unit members attached to Cape Town Central police arrested three suspects, aged between 23 and 46, for pointing of a firearm and illegal possession of an imitation firearm following an incident that took place on Friday, 20 December 2019 at around 06:00 in Kloof Street, Cape Town.
It is alleged that the suspects entered a business premises at the aforementioned address and threatened a personnel member with a firearm. Police members received a complaint via Cyclops CCTV cameras operational room and arrived on the scene. The suspects were subsequently arrested and detained.
They will remain in custody until their first court appearance at the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 23 December 2019.
