Crime prevention initiatives in Bothasig this afternoon proved fruitful when two vehicles were searched during a road block that was held in De Grendel Road.

The three male occupants of the two delivery vehicles, aged in their fifties were arrested for being in possession of 37 bags filled with abalone.

The quantity and value are yet to be determined by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF). Once charged, the suspects are due to make a court appearance in Goodwood to face the charge against them.
