SAPS endeavours to root out illegal firearms and drugs in our communities yielded positive result when members of the Bishop Lavis Crime Prevention Unit arrested a 62-year-old female suspect for the possession of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and drugs at an address in Olyfberg Street, Nooitgedacht.

Police members received information about a firearm and drugs at the address and upon searching the premises they found a .38 Special revolver, ammunition and 82 plastic sachets tik in a Wendy house.

The suspect is due in court on Monday 4 October 2021.
