Ten applicants, all wine farmers, filed an urgent interdict at the Western Cape High Court against Black Land First.

The application was made to prevent BLF from occupying farms in the Western Cape. Wine farms such as Durbanville Hills, Hillcrest Estate Durbanville, Maastricht Farms, Bloemendal Wine Estate, Groot Fisantekraal Farm Trust, Joostenbergvlakte Trust and the Karoo Trust were among the applicants.

According to the application, BLF is engaged in illegal actions including harassment and threats as well as incitement of persons to act against owners.
