Another Metro Rail train was set on fire, this time at the Steenberg station in the Cape.
It’s the third train in less than a month that has gone up in flames.
Damage amounts to millions of rands and has caused a shortage of carriages in the area. This meant that train services had to be sharply reduced causing further transport problems.
