On 15 August 2019, a new neighbourhood watch was launched by AfriForum in Robertson. This is the 140th to be launched by the civil rights organisation. AfriForum opened a branch in the town on 25 July 2019. There are already approximately 9500 volunteers involved in these structures across the country.
