Municipal and city councils debt to Eskom is in an upward spiral with the latest figures of R17 billion as at the end of September 2018. The same pattern is found at the various water councils where little progress is being made with debt collection.

A number of recommendations have been made but no decision has yet been taken and a report of technical advice to the Cabinet has yet to be tabled.

While violence, protests, murders and strikes hit the country, the president of the rainbow nation has a solid travel plan. He will visit the European Parliament in France and then visit the SA Euro Union in Brussels. Belgium and Flanders are the following countries where he will visit heads of state.

It would be interesting to hear if he will repeat his lies on farm murders in SA whilst overseas.
