Two people were injured following a shooting at the Kya Junction shopping centre in Randburg on Saturday, said paramedics.
The shooting happened at around 15:21, said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha.
“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that one person sustained a critical wound while another had been pistol-whipped and was seriously injured,”said Botha.
“Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before they transported them to a nearby hospital for the care that they required,” he said.
Further details on the incident were not clear as police could be immediately reached for further comment.
