A tragedy was averted by Mr Jan Lombaard when he fired on attackers in his home on his farm Roodezandt. One was killed.
Major Meiring, Station Commander of the Tulbagh SAPS confirmed that an unknown number of attackers had broken into the Lombaards’ home in the early morning hours. One was shot while the others fled. The Tulbagh SAPS and local farmers acted quickly and two suspects, allegedly from Khayelitsha, were caught.
