The world and South Africans no longer trust the government.

This is evident from an international survey of 28 countries, and South Africa achieved last place.

The Edelman Trust Barometer tests trust across four sectors, namely government, business, media and non governmental organizations.

About 33 000 respondents were approached and in SA 200. The respondents were aged 25 to 64 and are in the top 25% earnings group.

A huge 86% distrust the government, 65% distrust the media. The business sector gained only 53% confidence while non-government organizations invested 50% confidence.
