The Treasury has announced that it has written off almost R23 billion of government’s investment in SAA. In the previous financial year, R13 billion was written off and Treasury expects SAA to show losses until 2020.

According to economists, it is clear that the gold goose eggs are still stolen by state owned entities that are not profitable despite Ramaphosa’s statement in New York at the UN that corruption will be stopped and government entities will no longer be financially helped.
