The Public Protector found that Dondo Mogajane failed to report in his application for treasury Director General that he had a criminal record.
He was found guilty of a Violation of Road Traffic in 2011 and now Cyril Ramaphosa has been given 30 days to act against Mogojane.
The possibility that the Director-General will lose his position is doubtful, but the power games behind the scenes is unpredictable.
