Transnet has sued Anoj Singh, Phetolo Ramosebudi, Garry Pia and Siyabonga Gama for money received by them for the inflated tender for the supply of locomotives.

The tender’s initial amount was R38,6 billion but the tender was granted at R54.5 billion.

The members, as well as Regiment Capital, that the Gupta family are allegedly involved with were sued for R189 million.

Inner Circles state that Regiments Capital and Trillion Capital are already making settlement offers outside of court for the unauthorized tender.

Observers say the extent of corruption is so severe that Ramaphosa’s promise to tackle offenders will last for years without any significant improvement in the situation.
