South Africa – A 32-year old “blonde and beautiful” tourist was gunned down in Klipfontein Road, Gugulethu, on Sunday night, said Western Cape police on Monday.
According to police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Andre Traut, the woman was about to take a taxi home after visiting the area near popular Mzoli’s restaurant and Yvonne Chaka Chaka’s new food kiosk when she was attacked.
“The motive appears to be an armed robbery, as the victim’s cellphone has been taken,” he said.
But, one witness told the Cape Argus the woman had a Mini Cooper parked across the street.
“She was beautiful, and very young. She had blonde hair. People were saying she came from Polokwane. They shot her in the heart with two bullets,” said the witness.
The witness said the woman had been a customer that Chaka’s kiosk.
