In what can only be described as some remarkable teamwork between Mondeor SAPS, Glenvista, Bassonia and Mulbarton CPF patrollers, Capital Air, Chubb, SOS Protecsure and D and D 3 suspects involved in an armed robbery were arrested within 15 minutes of their crime.
Five robbers armed with handguns held up residents and contractors at a house on Ouderberg Street at about 08:45 taking cellphones and other goods and tying their victims up with cable ties. Their mistake was that two of the contractors are CPF patrollers who quickly alerted us.
About 10 CPF patrollers, SAPS and security surrounded the area and quickly arrested 3 of the suspects at a neighboring house while a search continues for the 2 accomplices. SAPS K9 unit also arrived to help in the search. 1 firearm recovered so far.
