Three men are expected to appear in the Reitz Magistrate’s Court on Friday after they were found in possession of dagga (cannabis) with a street value of R48 000, Free State police said.
The three, aged between 28 and 32, were arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning, Lieutenant Zweli Mohobeleli said.
Police received information about a grey Toyota Avanza travelling from Clarens to Johannesburg. When police tried to stop it near the Lesotho border, the three sped off.
The three, one of them a foreigner, were eventually arrested after police in Reitz, Bethlehem, Petrus Steyn, and Tweeling were alerted and roadblocks were set up.
