Johannesburg – Three men were arrested for the murder of a metro police officer in Rosettenville in July, Johannesburg metro police said on Sunday.
Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said the three were arrested in the Johannesburg CBD on Thursday for Simon Mabatamela’s murder.
Mabatabela was shot after he intervened in a robbery at a shopping centre.
A man was arrested in August for the murder, but he could not be linked to the incident. He was, however, also wanted for a separate crime.
The three were expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
