British Airways and Comair met on Thursday 20 December 2018, with the Commission of Arbitration to avert a possible strike by Numsa members.

Members of Numsa are claiming a 13th check, travel allowance and a 12% salary increase. Comair assured passengers that in the event of a strike, interruptions would be minimized.

Meanwhile, Comair has denied accusations of racism by Numsa, suggesting that the union’s actions could still damage another company.

Currently, SAA is in the grip of having a deal with a foreign company because its finances do not allow itself to do everything themselves.
