Malema is a clown, and the uneducated crowds love the populist rhetoric the EFF leader expresses, it is a cowards way of scoring cheap political votes. Malema forgets the benefits he received as president of the ANC youth league.
Malema and the EFF members are acting with a ‘boys club’ behavior and a gangster mentality. There is no respect for the Constitution and the country. The noises the EFF makes is indeed an empty jar of nothing.
We cannot deny that both Julius Malema and Floyd Shivambu, know how to appeal to the frustrations and anxieties of the black youth, who are mostly unemployable, or unemployed and of course “leaderless.” Malema is a wizard and knows how to trade on members ignorance all to the electoral advantage of the EFF.
What Malema does is certainly fill the intellectual vacuum that the ANC youth league left open. Now as leader of his own political party Malema knows how to build a career because the political environment is favorable for mediocrity to thrive.
Does Malema have anything better to offer South Africa? As the president of the ANC Youth League, Malema failed dismally and broke all the laws together with the ANC fat cats. Being dumped by the governing party, Malema knew first hand that the ANC was full of criminals and that he was one of the same. Today, both the ANC and the EFF still sing the same song, enrich a few and leave the masses blinded to the truth.
Today, the EFF should not be credited with is phony militancy, there are more weaknesses than strengths.
Perhaps what Julius Malema said about Zuma and the Guptas remain the only credible words uttered. “Expecting the ANC to act against the Guptas is like expecting a pig to eat pudding.”
Watch the video of 2011 during a trial of Malema while he was in the ANC, and realize, the threats, land expropriation without compensation, “shoot the Boer,” white monopoly capital, farm murders, hate speech, and more, reflects that his attitude is still the same.
