Parliament has begun to change the country’s constitution so that government can take land without any compensation.
The motion was brought by EFF leader Julius Malema and accepted by 241 votes to 83.
Political analysts say those who still live in the dream world of De Klerk and Co should now see that a constitution in Africa means nothing.
According to Malema, the time of reconciliation has passed and the white minority can not have sole rights to the land.
An MP from Agang, Adries Tlouamma, made the blasphemous statement that “those who took our land must be rejected by Jesus Christ.”
Dr. Pieter Groenewald of FF Plus says the people of South Africa have to wake up and realize the ANC and its opposition partners’ plan to expropriate land without compensation is a hard reality. And if the gate of changes to the Constitution has first been opened, it will be impossible to close it again.
He said the amendments made by the ANC to the EFF’s motion to change the constitution to allow expropriation without compensation are ominous and cause serious questions about any form of private ownership of any property in South Africa .
“This is because the willing buyer / willing seller principle is a stumbling block in land reform and that Cyril Ramaphosa will use every tool available to the state to implement his land expropriation plan without compensation.
“All landowners in South Africa must take serious note of what has happened today in parliament. There are gullible people who believe the process will never go through since Ramaphosa said the economy and food security should not be prejudiced in the process.
“I say to every person in the country the ANC and its opposition partners will change the Constitution on this. They have a two thirds majority, and if the Constitution has changed, then your property can be taken without compensation.
“I want to repeat that it can be any property. Whether a farm or a house in a town or city. Landowners must know this process is part of the proverbial example of a frog in a pot of water that is slowly heated until the frog boils.
“Property and especially private property is the cornerstone of an economy and builds an economy, but the ANC does not want to allow it. The time has come for people who are serious about their property to begin to louden their voices and raise their objections.
“The time has also come for people to shift their apostasy and apathy regarding politics in the country to survive. It does not help you say you’re done with the politics of the country, because politics is never done with you, “says Dr. Groenewald.
Meanwhile, the HNP has also intensified its campaign against land theft. The party has for a long time been launching a campaign of slogans that openly denounces land expropriation as theft and against which the public is urged to resist it.
