The comedy of South African black politics just goes on and on

Cyril Ramaphosa last week unequivocally indicated that he is definitely a candidate for the presidency in 2019. At the same time, he also said that the ANC have a particularly high esteem of Zanu PF Robert Mugabe and “jealous” of what Mugabe has already accomplished.

Except that until at least 2019, we are stuck with Zuma. We can expect that Ramaphosa will keep the status quo on policies such as land grabbing, violation of property rights and affirmative action. In fact, people can expect that it will be implemented to a Zimbabwean point.

The DA is systematically moving closer to the ANC. As Helen Zille, admitted in Stellenbosch two weeks ago that the DA has engaged in discussions with the ANC to work together in 2019, provided that Ramaphosa becomes the leader.

The concert continues to play on and on and it is the people of South Africa that pay the price.
