The crime rate experienced on farms extends broadly across the country. In addition to the unacceptable high farm attacks and the murders that are regularly reported in the media, farmers are subject to various other unacceptable crimes that are committed, such as stock thefts, theft of equipment, tools, arson, and unlawful occupations.

Several institutions approach TAU SA from time to time with different products that can be used to stop such abuse. Some products are used as an early warning while trying to prevent crimes.

TAU SA is studying products that firstly provide an early warning of a crime, but also other items that can make a contribution for farmers to consider protecting themselves, the workers and their belongings.

Organizations that believe they have a product for consideration are requested to submit details specifically about the application, operation and also the price to TAU SA. These products will be made available to farmers by category for consideration, with the scope of being able to look after their own safety.

Details can be sent to [email protected]
