A suspect has been shot and wounded during an apparent robbery at a house in Van der Rijst Avenue in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, paramedics said on Wednesday.
Netcare911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said the exact detail of what happened would form part of a police investigation.
“Paramedics have managed to stabilise the injured man on scene before transporting him to a local hospital for further medical care,” she said.
Mathe said paramedics were being escorted by police from the scene to a local hospital, where the man would be under police guard.
