It is boggling to the minds of the normal, right minded South Africans, that such a fuss is being made about a person who did not only not get jail time, but even lied to the country’s parliament about income procurement.
As already mentioned, Winnie Mandela was not only convicted of serious assault (on her own), but on several occasions she has violated the laws of the country, and this after 1994.
Now the dictionaries can not keep up with adjectives and words being used to commemorate and praise her. From Julius Malema and Ramaphosa to Patricia de Lille and Athol Trollip (both DA mayors) and many others.
Furthermore, if she is buried under an official category 1 funeral. That means Jan Public will pay the costs of the funeral, as well as the after party.
