Ounooi Badenhorst, 77, murdered with a head-shot at Smithfield home, reports SAPS sergeant Yanga Ngcukana.
Ounooi Badenhorst was allegedly shot in the head, Sgt. Yanga Ngcukana police spokesman said.
A pistol, television and the hard drive of her CCTV cameras are missing from the house.
Friends of the woman drove past the home early in the morning noticing that the lights are still on. When they investigate, they discovered a broken window.
The police found the woman’s body where she lay the lounge. A charge of murder and burglary are being investigated. No one has been arrested.
