Scientology Volunteer Ministers: Ready to tackle COVID-19 nation-wide

In response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak, Scientology Volunteer Ministers, who have been working 12 hours daily, 7 days a week, since 15 March 2020 to help the President of the country in his mandate of protecting the citizens, are now expanding their activities and forming teams in Western Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal to widen their impact in South Africa.

After noticing that the number of COVID-19 cases in Gauteng are decreasing daily – and this is the only province they have been operating in for the past few months – they are now offering their solutions and expertise to other provinces, including the new epicenter of Western Cape.

The Volunteer Ministers, whose hard work was inspired by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard who wrote the Volunteer Minister technology, have done more than 110,000 hours of volunteer work in Gauteng alone to help South African citizens.

They have sanitized more than 5000 buildings from one-floor shelters up to 20-floor government building and everything in between and they also sanitized nearly 40,000 vehicles from taxis to ambulances, police cars and fire trucks, all financed by Scientologists so far.

Now that Gauteng is dropping in cases, the Volunteer Ministers are ready to aid other provinces in South Africa to battle COVID-19.

“This is only the start,” says Sandile Hlayisi, Public Affairs Director for the Volunteer Ministers. “And we intend to form teams in every province.” Hlayisi added. “This is our duty to help and be of service.”
The Volunteer Ministers will also provide their educational booklets on hygiene in those provinces too. “Knowing how to protect yourself in the middle of the pandemic is also very vital. People don’t know what to do. This is why our various booklets on hygiene were translated in Zulu and Sotho so that we can reach more people,” said Hlayisi.

He also alluded to the fact that the booklets are now also being translated in Xhosa for further reach.
