SASCOC fires Reddy

The SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) issued a statement stating that the chief executive officer of SASCOC, Tubby Reddy, was fired.

An investigation revealed that Reddy, Vinesh Maharaj, and Jean Kelly had been suspended due to various irregularities. Reddy is also accused of sexual harassment by a SASCOC employee.

Sporting bodies have been harassed for years by mismanagement and financial irregularities, to such an extent that athletes are often not financially supported during Olympic Games and other international gatherings.
