The SABC Board has confirmed that it has instructed a Special Investigation Unit to investigate the R100 million payment made by MultiChoice to the SABC in exchange for political influences on digital migration.
The information is also confirmed in minutes of meetings between MultiChoise and the SABC, and there is the possibility that SABC and MultiChoise may be prosecuted for conspiring.
It is further claimed that the pay channel has also paid millions to the Gupta-controlled ANN7 channel.
The name of the controversial Hlaudi Motsoeneng also entered into the investigation.
