Restore free market in Zimbawe, asks TAU SA

Die Vryburger

TAU SA president, Mr. Louis Meintjes, wrote to the British High Consulate and the German Embassy respectively, following both countries’ businesses to provide financial aid to Zimbabwe to strengthen the economy.

“If used correctly, it will help to get the country’s economy and especially the agricultural environment back into production,” said Mr. Meintjes said.

It is not in the way of TAU SA to prescribe for any country, but we have taken the liberty to request them to ensure that sufficient requirements are put in place for the proper use of funds together with adequate monitoring to prevent such well-intended donations going into the pockets of politicians.

” Zimbabwe was once a highly productive agricultural land, and could make a major contribution to stabilizing Southern Africa if the principle of private ownership and the free market can be applied without hindrance,” said Mr. Meintjes further said.

A big thank you to both countries for the planned contributions. May the economy finally prevail over political ignorance.
