Business confidence dropped the second time in two months and is at at 97.6 against January’s 99.7 when Cyril Ramaphosa replaced Jacob Zuma as president.

Economists point out that the initial euphoria around Ramaphosa is like as a car tire that has a slow puncture.

The business sector is now waiting for Ramaphosa to take action regarding the economy, but his statement about “land expropriation” woke up a lot of observers who now see him for what he really is, a puppet of the ANC cadres who want to promote outdated policies.

The country needs security around the economic future to attract investors and put the economy on a sound basis. The country’s economy can not be considered a KFC industry, it is said.
