The rail company Prasa continued to pay more than R1 million to bodyguards for the suspended head of Prasa, Collins Letsoalo.
This is despite the fact that Prasa has more than 100 full-time security guards who can do the job.
Letsoalo was suspended in February 2017 after awarding himself a 350% salary increase.
