Members from the Port Elizabeth Flying Squad arrested two suspects immediately after receiving a call of a house robbery in progress.

It is alleged that on Monday, 25 April 2016 at about 02:00, Constables Severiano Blundin and Siyabonga Ntamo responded to a complaint of a house robbery in progress in the Zwide area.

As the members arrived, they spotted a green Chevrolet Spark speeding off. A chased ensued and the members succeeded in blocking off the vehicle. Three suspects emerged and started running. Two suspects were arrested while the third managed to flee.

All the stolen items which included a flat screen TV, computer, cell phones and clothing was found inside the car.

The suspects aged 21 and 24 years old were detained on a charge of house robbery and are expected to appear in court soon.

The Chevy Spark was also confiscated by police.

The members are commended for their swift response which led to the immediate arrest of the suspects.

The SAPS is committed in reclaiming the communities from the hands of criminal elements”.
