The police are not fighting the fight against crime.

The recognition comes from the head of analysis of the Hawks, Major General Peter Arendse. He appeared before a parliamentary portfolio committee.

It also seems that labor legislation prevents attempts to advertise to appoint competent experts in a unit focusing on priority crimes such as drugs and illegal weapons, especially in the Cape.

For the past three months, the unit could not find any illegal firearms and confiscate these guns, while gangsterism continues.

FF Plus leader, Dr. Pieter Groenewald said he was pleased that Arendse was at least honest about losing the fight against crime.
