After a number of arguments about what has gone on at PIC, Nhlanhla Nene, Finance Minister, has now said that an independent investigation would be conducted in the affairs of the Public Investment Corporation and several of its directors.
Dan Matjila, chief executive officer of PIC, has been under the magnifying glass for suspicious projects of a “girlfriend” of his as well as a businesswoman “wife” whose debt has been written off.
Two PIC executives have since been fired.
