Mathews Phosa was nominated by seven branches of the ANC in Cape Town to stand for the leadership of the ANC.
He accepted the nomination and said that the people of the country are asking for change. The ANC members in the Cape regard Phosa as the person who can solve the ANC’s problems.
Phosa, a former ANC premier has previously publicly asked Zuma to resign.
