Parliament must remove Zuma once and for all – Maimane
Zuma Must Fall.

Parliament will get another chance to remove President Jacob Zuma from office in March, the Democratic Alliance said on Thursday.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane welcomed the decision by the programming committee to hold the vote of no confidence on Tuesday, March 1.

“Parliament will be given the chance to vote with their conscience and with the hopes and dreams of the 8.3 million unemployed South Africans… to remove President Zuma once and for all,” Maimane said in a statement.

He said with Zuma as head of the economy, the hope of a better life for all South Africans would never become a reality.
Zuma replied to the debate on his State of the Nation Address on Thursday. He focused on education, the economy, safety and security, and nation building.

Maimane welcomed the president’s assertion that the country came first, as well as the announcement of separate gangs and narcotics bureaus.

The reply contained “lofty promises to do things differently”, he said.

On March 18, 2015, MPs defeated the DA’s vote of no confidence against Zuma with 221 votes against, versus 113 for and eight abstentions.
