Operation launched for missing Marie Elisabeth Stapelberg (69), Lephalale mall

The Police in Lephalale are investigating a case of a missing elderly woman, Marie Catherine Elisabeth Stapelberg (69) residing at Makaise in Rustenburg, North West Province. She allegedly went missing on 9 October 2021 while she was at Lephalale mall with her friend.

According to the missing woman’s friend, they were doing shopping when Elisabeth went to another store alone and never came back to where they parked their vehicle. She looked for her at the mall but she was not found.

She has a red hair, and was wearing black ladies’ trouser, brown camouflage long sleeve shirt and black sandals.

The incident was reported to the police.

Search operations to locate her in and surrounding areas were without success.
