The Frances Baard District Commissioner, Major General Johan Bean applauded the arrest of a drug dealer and the confiscation of drugs by Warrenton SAPS.
Shortly before midnight on 03 January 2024, police were conducting a vehicle checkpoint in the Warrenton area.
A vehicle was stopped and searched.
A bag containing 907 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R45 250-00 and 1kg of crystal meth with an estimated street value of R12 500-00 was recovered and confiscated.
The 35-year-old driver was arrested on a charge of illegal dealing in drugs. He will appear in court soon.
