The SAPS Family violence, Child protection and Sexual offence Unit, has launched a manhunt for a suspect following a rape incident in Beaconsfield, Kimberley.

The search follows a complaint laid by the alleged 48-year-old rape victim.

She alleged that on Friday, 17 September 2021, at approximately 21:00, when she arrived at her residence, she found an unknown man wearing a balaclava and a facemask standing near her residence’s gate.

The unknown man grabbed and dragged her at a gunpoint to an open field, where he raped her several times. The victim sustained a stab wound in her back, lower and upper body.

After the incident, the victim broke free and sought help.

The Kimberley FCS Unit is requesting the assistance of the community in tracing and identifying the male person in the attached identikit.

The suspect is wanted in connection with an alleged rape case. He is in his early 30’s, speaking Afrikaans fluently, tall and light in complexion.
