The Upington Regional Court recently handed down a 8 year direct prison sentence to 42-year-old, Warren Izaaks for housebreaking and theft.

The court heard that Warren Izaaks broke into a house in Marzuka drive, Keidebees Upington while the owners were asleep in the house and stole groceries and numerous valuables valued at about R11 000-00.

Warren was linked to this case through fingerprints lifted by the police when he broke into a vehicle and stole valuables.

The Investigating Officer, Detective Sergeant Shahieda Williams who committed that she would ensure that housebreaking criminals who are terrorising the Upington community will be brought to book, stayed put to her commitment.

The Acting District Commander for the ZF Mgcawu district Brigadier Peet Coetzee lauded Sergeant Shahieda Williams for her relentless commitment to ensure the conviction of the suspect.
