The Postmasburg police in the ZF mgcawu cluster have arrested two female suspects aged 33 and 48 in connection with dealing in drugs. Members of Postmasburg Crime Prevention received information about the suspect’s shady activities. The information was swiftly operationalised leading to the arrest of the two women.

Police managed to confiscate 350 mandrax tablets with the street value of R35 000 at Newtown in Postmasburg. Over the weekend Witdraai police intercepted dagga with a street value of R37 000 which was destined for Andriesvale settlement from the Eastern Cape.

The Acting Cluster Commander of ZF Mgcawu, Brigadier Besnaar applauded members of Postmasburg for removing the drugs from the community that could have reached an innocent person, particularly youngsters. He urged members to continue removing drugs the community.

The suspects are expected to appear before the local magistrate’s court soon facing a charge of dealing in drugs.
