On Monday, 13 January 2020, the Mothibistad Regional court sentenced 27-year-old Lesego Lucky Nzondo for 12 years imprisonment for the murder of a 23-year-old man in January 2019. For the very same murder case, Boitshoko Mosutlhi was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment.

It is reported that the two stabbed the victim with knives at one of the tavern in Batlharos. The victim was hospitalised where he later succumbed to his injuries. The two suspects were arrested the very same day.

The Station Commander of Batlharos, Colonel Sophie Masombuka commended the investigating officer, Sgt Lapologa Billy Ntepang for his excellent investigation.

The cluster Commander of John Taolo Gaetsewe (JTG) Cluster, Major General Johan Bean warned all those who committed heinous crimes that the police in JTG will ensure that they are brought to book.
