Two arrests in the 'Piet Els farm attack' case, Kimberley

The SAPS Northern Cape Trio Crime Unit, Kimberley SAPS Detectives and Crime Intelligence Unit followed up on information regarding the suspects pertaining to the farm attack and house robbery at the farm of Piet Els.

On Monday, 29 January 2018 at approximately 18:00 a 25 year old male suspect was arrested at a house in Galeshewe, Kimberley. Police found a jewellery piece allegedly belonging to the complainant with the suspect.

Following up on more information led to another breakthrough regarding the Piet Els house robbery.

On Wednesday, 31 January 2018 at about 02:00am the police pounced on a second suspect linked to the mentioned incident. The 26 year old male was arrested at a house in Donkerhoek, Kimberley.

The suspects will be appearing in the Kimberley Magistrates’ Court soon.
