3 Arrested for illegal possession of firearm and ARV tablets

On Friday, 22 November 2019, at about 20:35, three suspects in their early 30’s were arrested for being in possession of unlicensed firearm, 32 live rounds of ammunition, 72 sealed bottles of ARV tablets and a bottle of chemical suspected to make drugs.

Three were arrested at one of the houses at Maruping Village near Kuruman after John Taolo Gaetsewe (JTG) Crime Intelligence driven operation. This operation was under the command of JTG Cluster Detective Coordinator Colonel Madito with Kuruman Public Order Police, JTG Highway Patrol and JTG Crime Intelligence.

According to information, the three suspects were planning to commit robbery. The three will appear before the local Magistrate’s Court soon. Major General Johan Bean, JTG Cluster Commander complimented and praised Colonel Madito, Crime Intelligence, Public Order Police and JTG Highway Patrol for their marvellous and outstanding work.
